WELLS FARGO: Wells Fargo Donates $100k for Tornado and Flood Relief in the South

Wells Fargo issued the following announcement on April 22.

The Wells Fargo Foundation today announced a donation of $100,000 to the American Red Cross in support of tornado and flood relief efforts across the southern U.S.

“The recent storm system that traveled across the region has created devastating damage, injuries and loss of life during an already difficult time,” said Jimmie Paschall, interim president of the Wells Fargo Foundation. “The American Red Cross and its local chapters are collaborating with communities in the South, providing much-needed services that will help people cope and restore basic needs. We are grateful for their ability to mobilize quickly for those in need.”

Don Herring, chief development officer at the American Red Cross, said, “The Red Cross has been on the ground providing critical support to those affected by tornadoes and floods in the South. Thanks to the help of donors, such as Wells Fargo, we’re able to respond to the needs of disaster survivors at a moment’s notice and continue to support community members during the recovery process.”
