AMERICAN INSURANCE ASSOCIATION: APCIA Commends Virginia Lawmakers for Protecting Consumers and Keeping Insurance Costs Affordable

American Insurance Association issued the following announcement on March 5

Nancy Egan, state government relations counsel at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) issued the following statement commending Virginia lawmakers for defeating SB 664, legislation that would raise minimum liability limits statewide.

“APCIA commends Virginia lawmakers for voting in support of keeping insurance affordable for Virginians. Legislation that could increase insurance premiums and lead to more uninsured Virginia roads could be dangerous for all Virginian drivers. We must continue to work to keep costs down for Virginians and our roadways safe for all motorists, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists, and everyone else on the road,” said Egan.
