UNITED SERVICES AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION EMPLOYEE PAC - USAA EMPLOYEE PAC: Expands Phoenix Campus

United Services Automobile Association Employee PAC - USAA Employee Pac issued the following announcement on May 7.

USAA today announced the expansion of its Phoenix operations with the opening of a new three story, 147,000 square foot building located at 25700 Norterra Parkway. Adjacent to USAA’s current campus, the building brings the total occupied space to more than 1.1 million square feet.

The expansion is driven by USAA’s growth in Phoenix and its commitment to hire an additional 1,000 employees over the course of several years, mostly in IT and software development. USAA employs more than 4,800 people in the area.

A ribbon-cutting will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego will join USAA Regional Vice President Greg DeBernard to dedicate the building.

“Phoenix is a critical employment center for USAA and we are very excited to continue our growth here,” said DeBernard. “This expansion is the latest example of USAA’s commitment to serving our members, being an employer of choice and a supporter of growth for the entire region.”

In April, USAA joined Governor Ducey to celebrate the passage of House Bill 2569 allowing for occupational licenses obtained in other states to be acknowledged in Arizona. The bill is expected to have a positive measurable impact on military spouses’ ability to maintain employment if they relocate to Arizona.

“USAA has long been the leader in serving the financial needs of the military and their families,” said Jim Syring, Chief Administrative Officer at USAA and retired Vice Admiral in the U.S. Navy. “Our continued expansion and the addition of 1,000 jobs will enable us to continue innovating and serving our membership well into the future.”

USAA is regularly highlighted as a great place to work and company that provides excellent customer service. USAA was recently recognized as one of FORTUNE’s 100 Best Companies to Work For®, 2018 Forbes America’s Best Large Employer and Forbes “World’s Best Banks.”
