Alliant has a new first vice president

Alliant recently named Jan Nowak as first vice president.

Alliant said in press release that it decided to bring Nowak onboard as part of its effort to bolster its Energy and Marine Group.

Nowak brings a wealth of experience and a wide range of knowledge regarding marine exposures, the release said. Throughout her 37-plus-year career, she has worked extensively with vessel operators and shipyards.

Nowak graduated from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee before serving as the managing director and principal at a regional energy and marine insurance brokerage, the release said.

“The Gulf Coast represents a significant growth area for Alliant, and having Jan on our team will provide clients with access to one of the region’s most experienced marine risk experts,” Alliant Chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said in the release. “With marine exposures constantly shifting, we remain committed to providing strength and stability to our clients no matter what their business objective.”

Nowak will be based in Alliant’s New Orleans office, the release said.
