Allianz is on board as FIA Formula E Championship partner
“We believe that now is the time to engage in the development of new ecosystems, defining the future of urban mobility in a sustainable way,” Allianz SE Head of Group Market Management and Distribution Jean-Marc Pailhol said in a press release. “What better way than to partner with Formula E, which not only brings the discussion to metropolitan cities around the globe but also adds the excitement of fully electric racing.”
Allianz has joined the series as an official partner and will sponsor the Allianz eVillage, providing a place for fans to watch the action on giant screens, meet drivers for autograph sessions, drive Formula E simulators and experiment with the latest in digital technology like 3-D printing and virtual reality, the release said. The Allianz eVillage will also host the Formula E podium ceremonies.
“We’re delighted to be welcoming Allianz to the Formula E family and to see their passion in motorsports continue with the world’s first fully electric single-seater racing series,” Formula E Founder and CEO Alejandro Agag said in the release. “Allianz and Formula E are two brands that share a commitment to innovate and inspire, key values that form the basis of our partnership. With the support of Allianz, we aim to bring our mutual passion for racing and innovation to our ever growing fan base around the world.”
